The Blazers should really stop drafting big men if they have a top pick again. Remember 1984 the Portland Trailblazers had the 2nd pick in the draft and selected Sam Bowie over some kid named Michael Jordan. Their excuse at the time was that they already had a player like Jordan on their roster in Clyde Drexler. Well Sam Bowie ended up being easily the biggest bust in NBA history and retired after the 1994-95 season. Oh yeah that Michael Jordan kid only ended up winning 6 NBA championship, 6 NBA Finals MVP, and 5 NBA MVPs. He may of won more rings had he not taken the 1993-94 season off.
Ok so every team can make that mistake once, but the Blazers look like they've made it twice. In 2007 they won the draft lottery and believed the hype with Greg Oden and selected him #1 overall. They totally disregarded the fact that Oden is both soft and injury prone, and also that they had a legit future All-Star in Kevin Durant to pick also. Well Oden has been injured for 2 of his 3 seasons, and when he's been in the game he's had little to no effect on the game at all. Matter fact he made more news this season as the 7-foot porn star as naked pictures of him leaked all over the net. Imagine the Blazers lineup with Brandon Roy, Kevin Durant, and LaMarcus Aldrigde...WOW!
