The New York Knicks End The Dallas Mavericks' 13 Game Win Streak
Everyone knows the Washington Wizards basically gave Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood, and DeShawn Stevenson to the Mavericks for Josh Howard's torn ACL. Ever since Butler and Haywood entered the Mavericks starting lineup people seemed to have replaced the Denver Nuggets with the Mavericks as the team in the West that is capable of dethroning the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Dallas Mavericks had their streak of 13 games ended Friday by none other than the New York Knicks. The worst part about it is that the Knicks came to Dallas and won 128-94. Yes you read that right! The Knicks beat somebody by 34 points.
The Knicks did it with balance, as they were led by Bill Walker's career high 23 points off the bench. Wilson Chandler contributed 22, rookie Toney Douglas scored 21 points and dished out 8 assists, the always dependable Al Harrington scored 20 points off the bench, and David Lee continued his break out season with 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Oh yeah and Tracy McGrady scored 11 points and he hasn't gotten hurt as a Knick yet!!!
Does this win mean anything? No. The Knicks still suck. But the loss sure did hurt the Mavericks a little bit as they fell back down to the 3rd spot with one more loss than the Denver Nuggets.
